OpenOpportunity runs English Second Language (ESOL or EAL as it is often known) courses at The Hewett School using staffing and expertise from City College Norwich.

There are currently 2 groups running in Year 11 on Wednesdays and another group running for Year 10 students on Tuesdays – both 9-11am. These groups cater for the whole range of English Second Language ability – and is equally relevant for those students who are just beginning to learn English as for those students whose conversational English is good but who still have difficulties expressing themselves in written formats.
